Lets talk ..... Food!

  • Mood: happy!

Food for the benefit - my favorite subject!  Not so much the eating part but the planning & cooking part of it... lol.  It's no secret that I lovvvvvvve to cook for lots of people.  I enjoy it greatly and it is probably the one part of getting things ready for the KPM benefit that I look forward to the most.

For the past couple of months I've been going through all of my cookbooks and magazines I've purchased that had recipes.  Instead of having the same things that I usually make I thought I'd add a couple of different items... you know... switch it up a bit.  I'd hate for folks to look at the food tables and think "uggghhh.. same 'old stuff again".  Variety is good!  I'm not going to post just yet what food I'll be making because I haven't got it all "set in stone" at the moment (I keep changing my mind), but there are definitely two items I'm keeping on my list!  Well, three if you count the potato salad... hahahaha.

Oh.. the snacks!  Those will be changed up a bit too so there won't be just chips, chocolate, and fruit roll-up things.  There isn't anything wrong with those (they are actually quite yummy) but I'm just going to add some other things to it so there is more of a selection for the lil KPM'ers.  The big KPM'ers might like them too!

I believe Tom Reid has once again managed to get the "Meat Man" to join us at the benefit.  If you were there last year you got to see all of the wonderful cuts of meat he had cooked up for us.  He was kind enough to bring in meat for 400 people, which I think was quite a wonderful thing for him to do.  So in addition to what I am making, what the club may offer, and the meat it should be a very filling day.

Well, I think that's it for now.  When I have a better idea of what I'll be bringing to the benefit I'll post it here.  Or maybe I'll just keep it a secret... LOL!

Ohhhh.. before I forget.  If anyone has any type of food allergies please let me know!  I don't want to put anything on the food tables that will cause any type of allergic reactions.  You can email me here:  rockin_for_kpm@yahoo.com if anyone in your family that is going cannot have any certain foods.  Thanks!

Take care and have a great day!
